A NATIONAL holiday show has proved just the ticket for travel and tourism students at Crewe's South Cheshire College.
The group took time out from their studies to get some travel tips from the exhibition at Manchester's G-Mex Centre on Friday.
The three-day show, which last year attracted around 77,000 visitors, featured more than 1,200 exhibitors, representing almost every country in the world.
It gave students the chance to learn more about the industry and the various employment opportunities available.
They were able to spend the day chatting to exhibitors, helping them to plan their own travel show, which gets underway at the college in March.
Travel and tourism lecturer Christine Hall said: "The Holiday Travel Show is the UK's largest consumer travel show.
"During the visit students had the opportunity to learn a lot more about the sector and pick up useful information which can help them with their studies and assignments.
"It was also a chance for them to market themselves to potential employers and they dressed smartly to project the right image.
"Hopefully they will put their experiences to good use when they get back to college."
