Man glassed

A MAN was glassed in the face while he was in the Vue Bar, Victoria Square, Widnes.

The 25-year-old was hit by a man at around 1am on Monday, January 3.

The attacker was thrown out by security staff and another altercation took place outside where a 37-year-old local man was hit in the head.

Both men were taken to hospital although the injuries are not understood to be serious.

The police are appealing for witnesses to contact Det Con Simon Fisher on 01244-613733 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
