Juniors enjoy excellent win

NORTHWICH RUFC U15s enjoyed an excellent all-round display with a 22-19 win over Wilmslow.

The Moss Farm side started brightly with Alex Breau scoring the first try. But the lead was short-lived as Wilmslow went on to score the next two tries either side of half time with both efforts being converted.

A third try from the visitors seemed to spark Northwich into life and two tries from Richard Dale left Northwich trailing by just two points.

With five minutes remaining Jason Carter collected the ball and ran 35 yards to cross the line and give Northwich a memorable victory.

l THERE are few positives that can be drawn from Northwich U13s crushing 45-5 defeat at the hands of Wilmslow.

John Dale managed a last gasp try for Northwich, but that aside it was almost all one way traffic as Wilmslow completely dominated the match.
