Park end rivals' run

WINNINGTON Park U13s welcomed unbeaten Newcastle Under Lyme to Burrows Hill and came away with a 28-17 win.

Hooker Scott Jones, second row Scott Goulden and no 8 Alec Butcher provided the base from which scrum half Joe Griffiths played his best game for the club.

Bud Skinkiss scored the try of the game finishing off a sweeping move in which all the backs handled well. Will Levy and Rob Moore tackled well in the centres and Tom Gates was also solid in defence on the wing.

Other tries came from Alec Butcher (2) and Scott Jones while Alec Butcher kicked two penalties and a conversion.

l PARK U14s got the year off to a good start with a 40-12 win against Newcastle.

Tries came from Morten (3), Bessant, Brennan and Knowles while Jolley hit five conversions.
