New bid to set up youth club

A MEETING is planned to try to find out how much interest there is in running a youth group in Moulton.

Young people and adult volunteers are invited to a consultation evening on Friday, January 14, at 7.30pm in the back room of Moulton Village Hall.

All views about a youth group, including ideas for venues and activities, will be welcome, as will people willing to volunteer to run and organise the group or help out in sessions.

Shirley Curran, chair of the Implementation of Moulton Parish Plan (IMPP) youth committee, said: "Last year Moulton residents completed questionnaires for the parish plan and many people identified young people as an important local issue and priority, so the group has been formed to try and take this forward.

"Although there are already some excellent youth organisations in the village, a lot of people said they would like to see more youth activities such as a youth club in Moulton, so this is the first step to making this happen."
