So much more to come from Kohe-Love

TOA Kohe-Love's dream of becoming a two-time Warrington hero is bang on track.

The New Zealander centre proved that class is permanent against Barrow last Sunday.

Although he has spent most of the last two years sitting on the sidelines, following a nightmare run of injuries, he oozed star quality in what was only his second run out since rejoining his adopted hometown club.

Barrow were tormented by his vast array of skills and in a stark warning to the rest of Super League he has vowed that there is much more to come.

Kohe-Love says that he is still 30 to 40 per cent off his peak form and fitness and he is looking forward to a 'successful season'.

He said: "Things are looking very encouraging both for me and for the team.

"I think we looked very sharp against Barrow and once we've got Lee Briers and Nathan Wood pulling the strings in the middle of the park we will be able to give anyone a game."

Kohe-Love was also quick to praise Aussie teammate Brent Grose, who played his first full game at full back against Barrow.

Grose has been switched to the No1 spot to accommodate the arrival of Kohe-Love and fellow centre signing Martin Gleeson.

Wolves head coach Paul Cullen wants all three players in his starting line-up and Grose has already shown a talent for adapting to new roles.

He joined the Wolves as a rookie winger from South Sydney Rabbitohs and turned himself into one of the best centres in Super League.

Kohe-Love said: "Everyone knows that Brent is an outstanding centre but he is an outstanding full back as well.

"In fact, he is such a gifted player that he could play anywhere on the park. He is a class act and he is willing to play wherever is best for the team."

Kohe-Love admits that being given the number four shirt for the start of the season is a major shot in the arm.

He said: "I wasn't expecting it to be honest but now that I've got it I'm determined to hang on to it.

"I really want to repay Paul Cullen for the faith that he's shown in me.

"And I know that if I'm not performing well then the jersey will be taken away from me.

"This is because we've got a lot of strength in depth in the team this year and no-one can afford to rest on their laurels."

Kohe-Love added: "The injury problems are all behind me now and I feel great.

"There is still 30 to 40 per cent improvement left in me but once I get a few more games under my belt I'll be flying."
