Hilton given extra time to recover

PROP forward Mark Hilton sits out Warrington Wolves' friendly against Whitehaven Warriors to allow him extra recovery time.

Head coach Paul Cullen said the Wiganer has 'struggled' with flu this week and will be on the sidelines continuing with 'prehabilitation' of his shoulder.

He added: "Mark has had two shoulder reconstructions in the past. Although, he has virtually been uninjured for two years, sitting out this game gives him a chance to spend two or three weeks banging away at 'prehabilitation' to make sure the shoulder joint is absolutely solid.

"Prehabilitation for Mark is constant minor movement of the muscles. It's not weight training but prehabilitation of the shoulder, shoulder socket and shoulder joint. It allows for the shoulder to tighten up even more. We don't need to take any risk whatsoever."
