Dancing or road safety - what's the priority?

THE road conditions around Northwich were atrocious during the Christmas period, with no visible signs of gritting.

The bridge over the railway at the bottom end of Victoria Road that leads to Danefield and Witton Park was particularly bad and phone calls made to Cheshire Highways to report this hazard achieved nothing.

In my winter copy of the Vale Royal Reporter, we have Keith Musgrave, leader of the council, wishing us a safe and happy Christmas. Some hope.

Further on, we read Vale Royal Borough Council has appointed a dance officer whose expertise lies with street and contemporary dance. We can't grit the roads properly because it costs money, but we can learn to dance.

Let Keith Musgrave and company concentrate on the safety and welfare of Vale Royal inhabitants.
