Bookmarks made by three-year-old raise funds for tsunami appeal

A WINSFORD mum is full of pride for her three-year-old daughter after she decided to raise money for children affected by the tsunami disaster.

Erin Dean, of Mendip Close, has made bookmarks with mum Vicki after she saw children suffering on the television.

Vicki, 25, said: "I explained to her what had happened and she said she wanted the children she saw on the television to have some toys.

"We decided we would do something and thought bookmarks would be a nice idea because we have a laminator at home. It is difficult for her to understand exactly what has happened but she did tell me she wanted to do something to help those children.

"I'm extremely proud of her for doing this and we have also had a lot of fun making them."

Erin has sold the bookmarks to her family and friends and will donate all the money she makes to the Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund.

Her grandmother Heather Bailey said: "It is a lovely thing for her to do and we are all so proud of her."
