Village all set for road work delays

A MAJOR highway resurfacing scheme along the A49 Warrington Road, Cuddington, from the railway bridge down to Cuddington Lane, starts on Sunday, February 13.

The work should take three weeks to complete, and will include resurfacing the A49 and most of the junctions along the section.

New dropped kerb pedestrian crossing points will also be installed.

Work between the railway bridge and Marl Close will only be carried out on Sundays - on February 13, 20 and 27 and March 6. All other work will be undertaken from Monday to Friday.

Limited access to all properties within the working area will be maintained at all times, but only from the Nestl factory end.

There will be no access from the railway bridge end and no access onto or off Norley Road. Norley Road and White Barn traffic will be diverted via Sandiway and Delamere Park.

All businesses will remain open during the road closures, and someone will be available to help pedestrians cross the A49.

Work will not start until 9.30am to allow for the morning rush hour and unhindered access to school.
