An extra £110,000 up for grabs for community groups

MORE money is available for community groups in Warrington this month to fund environmental programmes.

An extra £110,000 is left over from last year's Environmental Improvement Fund (EIF) for ward councillors to bid for this month.

And the cash needs to be claimed by January 17.

This is the fourth round of EIF funding since it was first introduced in 2003, and the money funds small projects such as litter clean-ups, building revamps and park improvements.

Application forms are forwarded to ward councillors who can then submit bids for places and areas which need investments.
