The challenge of a lifetime!

EXCITING, thrilling, adventurous - just some of the ways people have described challenging fundraising stunts.

Here's a chance for you to have a go at whitewater rafting, abseiling or even jumping out of a plane!

The arthritis research campaign is inviting World readers to start 2005 by trying something different.

"You can get fit, try something new, achieve a lifetime ambition and help millions of people suffering the crippling pain of arthritis," said Ruth Owen, the charity's Cheshire appeals manager.

One young parachutist from 2004, said: "It was the most amazing thing I have ever done. It was totally fantastic, I've really got to do it again!"

If you can swim, cycle and run, why not tackle a triathlon.

Ruth said: "I turned 50 last year and knew I'd never be able to achieve anything like a marathon. I'm going to spend the next four months training for the Cheshire novice triathlon. If I can do it, almost anyone can!"

The event, on May 22, includes a 200m swim, 10k cycle ride and 2.5km run.

The activities are free if you raise sufficient sponsorship. For details, call Ruth on 01492-518760.
