University of life

They want to hear about your lifetime skills and experiences. You can enjoy the friendship of other like-minded people, as they learn from each other. The knowledge and skills of members are freely available to all and are the foundation stone of our success.

Having just celebrated their 10th anniversary in September 2004 the Warrington University of the Third Age is now in its 11th year and has 25 different activities available.

These range from being able to learn a whole number of different languages, computer skills, local and classical history, art and photography. Some of the members of U3A prefer more active pursuits and so also offered is tai chi, as well as line dancing and circle dancing.

However the largest group and by far the most popular activity is the walking group.

A spokesman for U3A said: "There are more than enough activities to keep both body and mind fully active."

U3A hold general meetings on the first Wednesday of most months. For details of these or if you would like more information about Warrington U3A or would like to join in one of their activities please contact us on 602707 or 263522.
