Pair in court over attack

TWO men have appeared in court following an attack that left a man unconscious.

Peter Liba and Marian Farbula, both aged 23, of Ledyard Close, Old Hall, appeared at Warrington Magistrates on Thursday charged with grievous bodily harm.

They were arrested after a 31-year-old man was found unconscious outside The Maltings Pub in Bewsey Farm Close around 8am on Christmas Day.

As the Midweek Guardian went to press, his condition remained critical but stable.

The pair will appear at Warrington Crown Court on Friday, January 7.
