A GANG of six men were arrested in dawn raids, on suspicion of violent disorder, wounding and drug dealing.

The six were arrested in the early hours of December 22, in a large-scale police operation.

Two of the men, one of whom was arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs, have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

The remaining four, who have been charged with violent disorder and section 18 wounding, appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Christmas Eve.

They are: Damon John Henneghen, aged 18, of Teal Grove, Oakwood, Kyle Alan Barnes, aged 18, of Strawberry Close, Locking Stumps, and a 17-year-old male who cannot be named for legal reasons.

John Joseph Ahmed, aged 24, of Manchester, also appeared.

The four will appear at Chester Crown Court on January 31 to enter their pleas.

All six men were arrested in connection with an incident at Mallard Lane, Birchwood, on Saturday, December 11.
