WITH reference to the article 'Green Message All Wrapped Up' (St Helens Star, April 29) whereby Cllr Mike Doyle is proudly displaying the recycling of land, I am amazed that the executive member of the council can boast about recycling land where houses were built and lasted less than 40 years, millions of pounds spent on them at a later date and then the cost of demolition. read more
IN accordance with the Government's 'Walk to School' campaign, whenever possible, I walk my two youngest children home from school taking the safest route. This is from Mere School, Eccleston, over Millfields Road, passing the Griffin, through the churchyard then along a path which crosses a bridge over the stream, then along a path coming out through the church hall car park and into Chapel Lane. read more
