YES, the flight paths have been changed (Guardian, January 22). Planes can now fly over Sankey, Penketh, and Warrington, now that the military airbase Burtonwood has closed. When it was in operation they could not fly anywhere near the base. read more

I WOULD just like to say how wonderful and helpful the staff on Garton Ward, St Helens Hospital are. My mother has just had her knee replaced and she couldn't have paid for better care.
