  • Change

An end of year word in Link, St Gregory's Deanery mag, whose editor is Wyn Byrom. While it focuses on one topic, its message, perhaps, is for all: "I know a lot of people have been upset, even annoyed, at the recent change in Mass times at various churches in the Deanery. The following excerpt is from an article in the September issue of the Catholic Pictorial by the Passionist Priests, Fr Richard Appleyard, Fr John Keams and Fr Luke Magee, who have now left the parish of St Anne and Blessed Dominic, Sutton. I think we should take note of this - 'The time when parishes were focused on the priest is now over' from now on a parish will stand or fall because of the people who are in it. Each parishioner must listen to what God is asking of them these days - a call to a serious commitment, to be involved, to serve and love one another in whatever way you can. This is not the time to regret what is lost - it is the time to shape the future in a new way." read more
