Revenge missions

WARRINGTON Town start the New Year with two revenge missions and then a cup clash against a side managed by an old friend.

Town will be aiming to make up for earlier defeats this season when they travel to Spalding United on Monday and then Brigg Town on January 8 in UniBond League Division One.

Then on January 11 Town will travel to play Prescot in the second round of the Liverpool Senior Cup.

Prescot are managed by ex-Town boss Tommy Lawson and to add extra spice to the tie Town's goalkeeper Colin Flood and centre back Paul Clarke are former Prescot players.

Town's December 27 home league game against Colwyn Bay was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
