Charity has a ball

AN end of year ball in aid of a Lymm charity has raised more than £105,000.

The Children's Adventure Farm Trust, based in Millington, raised the money at its annual ball at Mere Golf and Country Club.

Among the companies who supported the event was Speedy Hire, a tool hire company, which gave £5,000 after chief executive Steve Corcoran and wife Nicky heard about the charity.

Mrs Corcoran said: "We live near the farm but it was only when we attended last year's ball that we were struck by how the Children's Adventure Farm Trust cheers kids up and gives them a fun time."
