Let them know it's Christmas

FUNDRAISERS at Great Sankey High School have been throwing their arms around the world this Christmas to give a boost to Band Aid.

A group of sixth formers performed their own version of Do They Know It's Christmas during assemblies aimed at bringing home the real message of Christmas.

And the school's Young Enterprise team printed Band Aid T-shirts, sponsored by Braun, for the performers.

Teacher Lisa Hirani said: "They raised more than £500 in one day, and spread the message to other pupils at the school that the best gift you can give someone this Christmas is life."
