NORTHWICH Victory have parted company with winger Phil Hadland.
The midfielder, who has recently been on loan at former club Leek Town, was sold last week to Stalybridge Celtic for an undisclosed four figure fee.
And it is a move that manager Steve Burr feels is best for all concerned.
He said: "We brought Danny Mayman in recently and that moved Hadland down the pecking order.
"To be honest I think he found it very hard to adjust at this level and he has moved on to get first team football.
"It's a deal that all parties are pleased with."
He added: "Hopefully this will free up some money to bring some other players to the club and that's something we'll be looking at."
Burr has already made plans to bring in some fresh blood to the squad with another defender and midfielder believed to top of his Christmas wish list.
One player whose immediate future lies at Vics is on-loan Grimsby defender Greg Young.
Young is currently in his second spell with the club having been recalled earlier this season.
And at the moment he is taking up room on the treatment table having suffered knee ligament damage in the 3-0 win against York.
But during his time on the pitch he has been a major influence in Vics' mini revival and such is his value to Burr that the manager has already entered into talks with Rochdale to keep Young at the club.
Burr said: "Greg has been excellent for us this season and I've had discussions with his manager, Russell Slade, about extending the loan period.
"He is proabably a week away from full fitness and the extension to the loan is very pleasing."
And Vics are making progress off the pitch too with the club shop and offices moving from the temporary home at Queen Street to the permanent site at Victoria Stadium.
The move was made official yesterday, Tuesday, and all stock is now available to buy at the ground.
