See the benefits says bureau

VALE Royal Citizens' Advice Bureau is aiming to help residents who need their benefits and pensions paid directly into a bank or Post Office account.

It has teamed up with the Department of Work and Pensions, which is no longer issuing traditional order books for benefit and pension payments.

It is thought that about one in five of those who are eligible have not yet made arrangements to receive their money through direct payment into an account.

A number of drop-in sessions will take place around Vale Royal starting in January, when people will be able to ask for confidential help on getting started with a bank account.

Sessions will be held at:

l Northwich JobCentre Plus: 2pm to 4pm, January 12 and 19;

l Winsford JobCentre Plus: 2pm to 4pm, January 20 and 26;

l Connexions Northwich: 2pm to 4pm, January 27;

l Connexions Winsford: 2pm to 4pm, February 1.

No appointment is necessary. For more information, call Maggie Tippin on 01606 330386.
