WE all know what Santa Claus does at Christmas, but what does he do for the rest of the year? We ask

Chelsea Dunn, aged six, said: "He goes to sleep because he goes all around the world with his elves in one night so he is tired afterwards."

James Smalley, aged five, said: "I think he keeps on making presents in case the children want them for Christmas."

James Hennessey, aged six, said: "In November he makes presents, in December he gets ready for Christmas, and after that he goes home to Lapland."

Mia Rawlinson, aged five, said: "He goes to Spain and relaxes with his children."

Matthew Earps, aged four, said: "He is wrapping presents to take to people's houses all year round."

Robert Reid, aged six, said: "I think he lives with his elves, who are good helpers. He only dresses up at Christmas, and his beard isn't real. When it's not Christmas he just goes to Africa."

Molly Gow, aged four said: "He is making presents with his elves."

Lewis Froggatt, aged five, said: "He is just sleeping."
