Children join big sing song

CHILDREN from mid Cheshire were among 500 youngsters chosen to sing at the Royal Albert Hall at its recent Schools Prom event.

Members of the Cheshire Massed Choir sang a set of songs based on the legend of The Wizard of Alderley Edge, composed by Lin Marsh. The songs were commissioned by Cheshire's Inclusion and School Improvement Service.

Pupils from St Bede's Catholic Primary School in Weaverham, St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Middlewich and St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School in Hartford took part in the event.

County councillor David Rowlands said:

"I am very proud of the commitment shown again by both pupils and teachers to the vocal strategy projects that began in 2001."
