C'mon Shelley!

CORONATION STREET - IF you think the man you love is a loser, take a look at Charlie and you might think again.

He might be a bit dishy and he might have saved Suneeeeta's life, but the philandering builder is turning into the king of mental torture and another top quality Corrie villain.

I don't know whether I feel sorry for Shelley or just want to slap some sense into her.

I have to admit, however, I couldn't blame Charlie for being irritated by Shelley's interfering attempts to get him the contract rebuilding Dev's corner shop.

While some women will put up with anything when it comes to men, there are others whose approach is somewhat different.

Take Katy for example. Since shacking up with Martin she hasn't had the smoothest relationships with her father, Tommy, and reports suggest things are only going to get worse.

It is rumoured that when Katy becomes pregnant, Tommy hits the roof (understandably). But Katy ain't taking any mither from her dad, and decides that the best way to deal with him is to kill him.

Sounds a little dubious, but we'll have to wait and see.

Other upcoming storylines include snobby Sally becoming embroiled in an affair with her new boss Ian Davenport, and a new look Adam Barlow returning for the new year.

But before any of that make sure you don't miss next week's Christmas episodes marking Karen McDonald's explosive exit from the Street - and if you're after a white Christmas, there's snow on Ashley and Claire's wedding day.

NEIGHBOURS

COULD Izzy, one of soap's most manipulative bitches, be about to get away with her big baby scam? Rumours are that in the new year Karl Kennedy's bit of stuff has a miscarriage.

And now that she doesn't need a father for her baby any more, could Dr Kennedy see himself kicked to the kerb in favour of a younger model, or could it be Ms Hoyland loves him?

In a sick and twisted way, I hope she does, so that her comeuppance is all the more satisfying if, no WHEN (we have to stay positive), Karl gets back together with Susan.
