It's time for clowing about

CHILDREN from Excalibur Primary School in Alsager are pictured after their Christmas show, which raised £139 for Leukaemia Research.

Eighty children from the school's infants department all played roles in costume for the production of Ffinlo the Clown.

The show told the story of Ffinlo, a clown that has lost his nose at the circus.

The comical character searches everywhere for his nose, and it is eventually found by Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

Ann Hill, the school's reception teacher, said: "We had fantastic support from parents in making the costumes and helping the children to learn their parts.

"There were about 160 people in the hall, and there was a lovely atmosphere."

Pictured in their costumes are Catherine Bowyer (Ffinlo), Martin Snewin (the ringmaster) and Jordan Clewlow (Mega-Mike).
