Call for more organ donors

PEOPLE in Warrington are being urged to do their bit to help boost the number of organ donors in the UK.

The NHS organ donor register wants one million people to sign up as part of its 10th birthday celebrations.

A spokesman said: "Organ donation can be an emotive issue but the idea that our death may give life to another person is heartening and provides a way of honouring someone who's died.

"Friends and family can feel comforted by knowing that something good has come out of the tragedy."
