Aid will help us to party

ORGANISERS of the Winsford Town Festival have asked Vale Royal Borough Council for financial support to make this year's event the biggest yet.

A proposal has been submitted by event organisers to stage the festival over two days on June 4 and 5.

The estimated cost of the event is £22,250 and it is thought the council would be willing to contribute £10,000 towards the total as well as provide assistance in raising additional funding.

The two day event would take place in the grounds of Wyvern house and include a free line up of entertainment by local bands, cultural acts, dance troupe competition, performances by Fame Factory Drama Group and musicians from schools.
