Two attackers mug man, 62

TWO masked robbers grabbed a 62-year-old man by the throat and mugged him when he was walking in Locking Stumps.

The attackers approached the man on Violet Close at around 7.25pm on Thursday, November 25. The man worked for a private company and was collecting money from customers.

One of the men grabbed the victim round the throat while the other took his money from his jacket pocket. Both robbers then fled.

The first robber was wearing a rigid dark plastic mask with white markings, similar to a clown's face. He was slim, and was wearing dark clothes.

The second man was also wearing dark clothing and was of a medium build. Both attackers were around 6ft tall.

Police are investigating. Anyone with information should call PC David Foster at Warrington Police Station on 652222 or the confidential Crimestoppers hotline, on 0800 555111.
