Revamp aims to increase faith in force

CONFIDENCE in policing in the area is not as high as it should be despite falling crime figures, says Cheshire's top cop.

The message from Peter Fahy comes as he admits the panda car style of crimebusting is not working.

His radical plan is for policing in Cheshire, Halton and Warrington to have a new higher-profile look from April, with 18 neighbourhood policing units.
