AN eye-catching illustration designed by primary school children is helping to promote diversity and equal rights.
Youngsters at Cobbs Infant School, Appleton, won a competition to design a poster reflecting the diversity of people in Warrington and it will take pride of place on the front cover of a housing association's new strategy.
Golden Gates Housing (GGH) has published its Equality and Diversity Strategy to help it tackle discrimination and promote equal opportunities in service provision and employment.
A spokesman said: "The plan will help GGH make its services more accessible to everyone across the borough, including older people and people from black and minority ethnic communities."
Warrington Ethnic Communities Association, Trade Unions Consultative Committee and Cheshire, Halton and Warrington Race Equality Council have all been consulted on both the strategy and action plan.
