Wayne muscles in on Mr Britain title

A MUSCULAR plasterer from Padgate has won the UK's top body-building award.

Wayne Stockton, aged 30, of Avery Close, won the Mr Britain title on November 27, only one year after entering his first competition.

He said: "I was very nervous. It was the toughest show I've ever done but the atmosphere was electric and the crowds really enthusiastic, which helps.

"I still can't believe I won."

Wayne, pictured above, trains for two hours every day at the Muscle House gym in Bewsey, as well as sessions at home.

Describing himself as an extrovert, he said: "It's difficult to be shy and get on the stage in a pair of trunks. You have to be 150 per cent focused and comfortable with yourself."
