CONCERNS have been raised over the safety of a Winsford road that many residents feel is being used as a racetrack.
Over Residents' Association has requested traffic calming measures on Mount Pleasant Drive in an attempt to make the area safer.
Carol Halpin, residents' association member, said: "It is being used as a racetrack at the moment and we have contacted the council because it is very worrying."
The residents' association is also calling for clearer road markings to prevent accidents.
Carol said: "We have asked for some chevrons to be put on the road to indicate it is narrowing because at the moment it is very difficult to make out the layout of the road.
"When it is raining at night it is impossible to see the roundabouts in the road so we feel it is important something is done about it.
"The council has assured us they will look into it so hopefully we will hear something in the near future.
"It is something that worries a lot of residents so we would like to see some work carried out to prevent any accidents from happening on Mount Pleasant Drive."
