CHAMPAGNE corks can now pop with your bouquet when you next celebrate a special occasion.
Amanda Canning believes she is Halton's first florist to gain a liquor licence.
"When we put a legal notice outside the shop, it caused rumours that we were closing down and an off licence was opening," said Amanda of Flower and Plant Works in Church Street, Runcorn.
To celebrate 23 years of selling quality flowers, they decided to add a selection of luxury drinks that can be sold and delivered with floral gifts.
Her partner, Barbara Monks, said: "Now we have an 'off licence', we can sell champagne, wine and whiskey.
"All our gifts are hand made by professional florists on the premises. Each one is custom made to an individual specification."
