Hedgelaying made easy

PROFESSIONAL hedgelayer Simon Fowler will be letting people into the secrets of his craft this Sunday.

Simon will be offering tuition in the traditional craft at Biddulph Grange Country Park.

No previous experience is necessary as all tools and training are provided.

Places are limited to 10. For more details ring 01538 483577.

The event is part of the Conservation Capers programme run by the district council's parks and countryside service.

People are invited to join countryside officer Mark Preece next Sunday, December 12, to follow the route of the Moorlands' Western Edges Walk around Biddulph.

It will take five to six hours to walk the 10.5 mile stretch and people are asked to meet at 10am at the old station car park off Smokies Way, Biddulph.
