Campaign tries to stop spread of diabetes

THOUSANDS of school pupils across Cheshire could be involved in a campaign to try to halt the growing number of people suffering from diabetes.

It follows a major investigation carried out by Cheshire County Council's health scrutiny sub-committee.

The sub-committee's members decided five months ago that their first in-depth scrutiny topic would be diabetes, which has 22,000 registered sufferers across Cheshire.
