WRVS plea works well

I AM writing to thank your readers for the wonderful response to the recent appeals for WRVS volunteers.

Volunteers are already giving a few hours once a week helping at the coffee bar at Leighton Hospital.

Many students are gaining valuable work experience that also looks great on their CV.

More volunteers, men and women, are needed to help in the coffee bar. If any reader is interested and would like to find out more ring 0845 601 4670. Calls are charged at local rate, or log onto www.wrvs.org.uk.

Twenty per cent of WRVS volunteers are men and all out of pocket expenses are paid.
