THE Bears went ahead after a Jordan Campbell run which Ellis Soens converted.
Pats hit back just before half time with a try.
After 10 minutes of the re-start Campbell again went over following a run from his own 20-metre line. With Connor Briers converting the Bears had the game in the bag.
The Bears' defence didn't let anything through even after a 32 minute second half.
They looked like they were going to put the game out of the reach for Pats, but Kieran Butterworth was pulled back for offside.

THREE well taken tries from coaches' player of the week Dylan Steadman and two from Jack White helped the Bears to victory over Widned Moorfield.
Leon Hunter was man of the match and Paul Middlehurst the top tackler.
A good performance from the Bears' squad of Joe Clark, Dean Morgan, Jamie Greenhalgh, Samantha Filkins, Daniel Dearden, Luke Gibbons, Liam Gough, Ryan McCann, Nathan Rath, Jake Gaynor and Sean Houghton.

TWO tries from Daniel Rose earned him the man of the match for a second week.
Strong defence from M Kelly, T Dempsey, J O'Neill and J Bond kept the score close at half time.
Quick play from G Nuttall, P Douglas, J Jopson and S Walker took J Phillips over the line.
Four minutes from time top tackler Kelly went over for the draw.

THE Bears were unlucky not to win against Langworthy.
With the Bears leading 24-20 Langworthy ran in a try in the corner. George Galligan scored three triesyo win the parents man of the match.
Dylan Thomas got one try and again shone in defence, leading the tackle count to win the Bears' top tackler award.
A much-improved performance by Adam Peach in defence earned him the Bears' coach's award.
Ben Hopwood scored the Bears other two tries.

Rylands Sharks U9s 38
THE enormous Rylands pack steamrollered the Blacks to take a big lead.
Just as the first half drew to a close, Tom Dempsey went over to give the Bears hope.
Daniel Rose, Sam Walker and Andrew Farrell repeatedly drove into the heart of the Rylands defence and on another day would have got their reward. In the second half, the Bank defensive line came to terms with the Sharks rushes with George Nuttall, Paddy Douglas and Mike Kelly outstanding.
Jacks, Bond and Jopson, battled hard and Kelly got a touchdown from acting half back.
Bond took the coach's award, Dempsey was top tackler with Nuttall man of the match.

Orrell St James U8s 40
THE Bears lost this fixture last season 68-12, yet it was only in the last few minutes of this game that Orrell pulled away to win.
Daniel Morgan had one of his best games, his running and defence earning him the Bears' parents' man of the match.
Dylan Thomas put in his usual fantastic tackling display to take the Bears' top tackler award.
With another hat trick of tries, strong running and great defence, George Galligan took one of the Bears' coach's awards.
Showing great potential on his debut, Callum Parkinson consistently ran forward and his display earned him the other Bear's coach's award.
The Bears other tries were scored by Dylan Thomas, Oliver Ashall-Bott and Shaun Mannion.

AFTER a recent dip in form the Bears were back to winning ways against the team from Oldham.
Tom Costes went in for a try before Joe Miller offloaded a perfect ball to send centre Aaron Davies in for his second try of the day to give the Bears a 12-0 half time lead.
In the second half, Shaw pinched extra yardage from the pack of Bears but further tries from Donlan and Houghton, set up by man of the match Chris Morris.
