THERE was a change of leadership in section two with Dreadnaughts going top after beating leaders Navigators 5/4.

This match produced a 103 finish from the losers' Neil Riley.

Wanderers Chris Ellams hit a maximum but his team remain second bottom after losing 5/4 to RAOB Buffs with the winners going third.

RNA slipped to fifth after losing 6/3 to Union Tavern who go fourth - Norman Cole hit a maximum.

Lion's 5/4 win against Royal Oak included a 19-dart game from Alan Histon. Navvy Lads suffered their third successive league defeat, losing 5/4 to Halton Marauders.

Dev Superstars maintained their unbeaten record in section three but had to come from 3/1 down before winning 6/3 against Jolly Brewer.

Despite beating Weston Point SC 5/4, Grapes slipped to third place. They were overtaken by Draymen, who have a slightly better average, after beating Castle 8/1.

Prospect Has Beens are fourth following their fifth successive league win - they beat The Tup 5/4.

Fiddlers III moved ahead of both Castle and Pavilions B after beating the latter 5/4.

There was no change at the top of section one with victories for the three leading teams.

Leaders Albion remain unbeaten after a 6/3 win against Halfway A, second placed Tricorn's 6/3 win against Clarry B included a 100 finish from Ian King.

Peter Murphy produced the quickest game of the night, he finished in 15 darts against Tranny Lads.

Likely Lads are sixth after Alan Collins' 18-dart game and a 102 finish from Carl Hackney helped them to a 5/4 win against Halfway Gents for whom Steve Russell hit both a maximum and finished on 116.

Roundhouse A's Harry Wright produced a 103 finish but his team remain winless after losing 5/4 to Outcasts.

Of the two matches scheduled to be played in section four, Clarendon failed to turn up against Total Confusion and the remaining fixture between Quayside and Trannie Mix is the subject of a protest hearing.

There were no surprises in the second round of the Best Sports cup although Clarry B and Lion Stonecutters were unable to field teams.
