Future plans in Audlem

AUDLEM Parish Council has received a £4,695 grant from the Countryside Agency to help with the preparation of a parish plan.

The council will use the grant to determine what Audlem residents see as the future of their village.

Villagers will be asked to contribute their ideas to the plan through a series of questionnaires and public meetings, as well as dedicate their time and effort to forming proposals.

The plan will then be used as the focus of future development in the village.

Jean White, Audlem Parish Council's clerk, said: "This grant will allow us to prepare a parish plan that will set out what villagers see as the future of Audlem.

"It will provide us with the evidence that we need to show when the committee approaches a body to ask for funding.

"The plan will allow us to go forwards with the initiatives that we think will improve the village."
