The unlucky losers: EGERTON U8 0 Hartford U8 4

EGERTON were unfortunate to lose a close match against a strong Hartford team.

Hartford put pressure on from the start forcing Will Dunkerley to make a great save. Barney Wynne was the team's ace defender, preventing the opposition from getting too near to the goal.

Joe Lasham was instrumental in stopping a number of runs by Hartford and Bradley Berry was as determined as ever as he battled for possession of the ball.

Despite such resolve Egerton were trailing by two goals at the break. Harry Collins had a good game in midfield pushing the play into Hartford's half. Christopher Corteen-Allen and Oliver Smith tackled well but the team were not able to convert any of their opportunities.

Adam Codling won a challenge but was unable to make the most of his opening. Although Egerton worked hard they could not prevent Hartford scoring two more goals.
