Master class will help wall trekkers

ENERGETIC fundraisers from Kingsmead arranged a great way to top up their total in advance of a marathon trek.

Janet Jackson and Bev Rickett have been fundraising for a year to raise the £6,000 needed to do the walk along the Great Wall of China in May next year.

So far, the women have exceeded their own expectations, with a total of more than £6,700 already raised for Cancer Research UK.

On Monday and Tuesday, they ran a stall at a parents' evening at Hartford Manor Primary School, where they sold their homemade dried flower arrangements.

On Friday, November 26, LA Fitness is hosting a master class to help Janet and Bev with their fundraising. There are only 30 places available and tickets cost £5 each.

With each ticket, there is also a chance to win a draw for a meal for two at The Kingfisher pub.
