The importance of finding a home for Oscar and Duddie

AN abandoned dog that needed £15,000-worth of vet's treatment has had his life turned around by Cheshire Dogs Home.

And now, nine-year-old Duddie is looking for a permanent home.

He had to have an operation after a hernia was found inside his bottom, and the animal centre picked up the bill.

A spokesman said: "He is a happy, house-trained dog, and he is good with children.

"At the moment our staff have been fostering him, but he is ready to go to a permanent home."

Another mongrel, four-year-old Oscar, who was left tied to the gates of Manchester Dogs' Home, is also looking for a loving family to take him in.

You can meet Duddie and Oscar at the centre in Knutsford Road, or call 269500 for more details.
