Collection dates for 2005

CALENDARS listing next year's collection dates for the kerbside paper recycling scheme will be put on blue bin lids. Waste management staff will be sticking them to the underside of the bin lids on collection days over a 10-week period starting on Tuesday.

And residents are being urged to make sure their blue bins are left out for collection so that they can receive the information.

The paper recycling scheme was rolled out across Warrington earlier this year and, between April 1 and November 9, more than 2,000 tonnes of paper has been recycled.

Clr Terry O'Neill, the council's executive board member for environment and regeneration, said: "It is vital that recycling becomes a part of our everyday lives.

"We are very pleased with the positive response and support from the public for the scheme and we want this success and commitment to continue into the future."
