Extension plan leads to council site visit

PLANNING committee members have voted to visit the site of a proposed two-storey side extension at 82 Oban Grove, Fearnhead, before making a decision on whether it should be approved.

Councillors voted on a site visit because of concerns over development and the impact the plans could have on neighbours.

A petition of 15 signatures has already been submitted to the borough council's development control department, listing parking problems as one of the reasons for their opposition to the plan.

Borough and parish councillor Mick Curran has also opposed the application on the grounds that off-road parking would be reduced, and neighbours could suffer loss of light and privacy.
