Top pianist shows off his roots

WORLD class pianist Martin Roscoe is returning to his roots to perform at The Brindley at 7.30pm on Friday, November 26.

He will be reunited with his Runcorn piano teacher, Mrs Mabel Johnson, 93, who will be in the audience.

Renowned musician Martin will be playing Beethoven's piano concerto no 2 on a magnificent Steinway piano bought for Halton with a lottery grant.

Manchester Camerata is teaming up with him for this special concert, presented by Halton Music Society.

Two symphonys by Haydn and Mozart promise to make it a treat for music lovers.

Tickets priced £14 (£12) are available from the box office on 0151-907 8360.
