Arsonists blamed for skip fires

FIREFIGHTERS were called to two skip fires on Riverside Retail Park, Howley, on Monday.

Arsonists are believed to be responsible for the incidents, which happened at around 7pm and 10pm.

A Warrington Fire Station spokesman said that the retail park was becoming a hot spot for skip fires.

A spokesman for the community fire safety team said: "We would advise that all skips and bins be situated away from buildings."

He added that firefighters would be visiting industrial units to offer advice to owners.
