Tell us what you think...

WARRINGTON'S Liberal Democrats were out and about in the town centre on Saturday to ask people their views on how the town could be improved.

Councillors and party members held a surgery in the street near to the 'skittles' in Market Gate to ask people what three things they would like to see improved.

Clr Ian Marks, Warrington parliamentary spokesman, said people had clear views on the subject.

He added: "There is a feeling that the town has tremendous potential but changes need to be made to make the town more attractive to a wider number of people."

Fellow parliamentary candidate Clr Peter Walker said his party believed it was important to listen to what people had to say.

He added: "Too often politicians just impose what they think on residents.

"We have views on the need for a town centre cinema, a replacement swimming baths, more quality shops, restaurants and better public transport about the town but we want to know what people think."
