Mayor leads celebrations

A HINDU festival will be celebrated by the Mayor and Mayoress of Warrington, Clr Ted Lafferty and his wife Pat, on Sunday, November 21.

Diwali, known as the festival of lights, celebrates the renewal of life, the approach of winter and the beginning of the sowing season.

It will begin at 3pm in the Rama Krishna Temple on Haydock Street.
